Gulf Coast LNG Export Facility | Ship Berth Construction

Five-S Group’s scope of work spanned nearly 80 acres of this LNG ship berth project site. The scope of work was considered high risk with a challenging schedule for dredging to start in order to meet the project's critical path requirements. As a result of our efforts on this project, Five-S Group was awarded a Merit Award for Excellence In Construction from the Associated Builders and Contractors Organization - Pelican Chapter. The project was completed on-schedule, within budget, and over 11,000 man-hours were worked with zero lost time incidents or injuries. The scope of work included:

  • Installation of silt fencing

  • Limestone base, concrete slab and coatings

  • Stripping of topsoil

  • Mass excavation of perimeter pilot cut

  • Removal of shoreline sheet piles, riprap, concrete

  • Removal of the HWY 87 roadway and subgrade material

  • Supply, installation, and mobilization of all heavy earthmoving equipment, hard barricades, signage, and lighting
