CB&I Laydown Yard

LAKE CHARLES, LA

Following flooding in southeast Texas, CB&I engaged Five-S Group to providing its expertise both pre-construction and as a general contractor to support their efforts in building a new laydown yard. Five-S completed the following for the 29 acre project:

  • Clearing and grubbing

  • Stripping, and removing topsoil

  • Installing geogrid textile fabric and sub-base

  • Placing and compacting base aggregates

  • Using grade control technology-equipped dozers to slope the site to grade for sufficient storm drainage

  • Final grading
